Are you interested in knowing the exact date that your XLR or XLR-V rolled off the assembly line at Bowling Green? Yes, the label on the end of the driver's side door indicates the month and year that the vehicle was shipped to the dealer, but not the exact date of production.

I learned this from my friends on the Corvette Forum who tend to be more passionate about these types of things. Anyway, the "secret" is to look up inside the driver's side front wheel well with a flashlight and, unless you've accummulated a lot of road crude, you'll see written in white paint the exact production date. There are other numbers and markings there too, but the production date will be plainly visible in mm-dd-yy format. Try it and you'll see it really is there.

Thanx ... I'll have to look for this. BTW- Wish we could purchase build sheets like the Corvette people can thru the NCM.
