I just renewed the XM radio service on my 06 XLR for a year @ $77.00. Heres how you can also get in on this special. Simply call 1-800-892-5400 and when the operator answers, tell her you want to renew your subscription under the special promotion "ZWINBACK". Some people have had to call a couple times to get it done, but I did it today in one try. You'll need your account number for XM, which we all have from when we bought the cars. They were very helpful and I think this offer is for a very short time, so call right away if you're interested. I found this info on the corvette forum of which I'm also a member. Good luck. Bill

Good informatyion, Bill. The ZWINBACK promotion has been floating around the XM customer service department fro more than a year now. It was designed to "win back" or to motivate customers on the fence from leaving or worse to keep them from moving to Sirius.

If you call and get someone who acts like they don't know about the promotion, let them no in a firm way that you are ready to pull the plug and try Sirius radio, they will find someone who can authorize the discounted rate.

I have four XM radios and now pay the discounted group rate, which is an even better savings.

Mswaim, I have three XM Radios and I am wondering why I didn't get as good a rate as you did. I paid the regular rate for the first radio and each of the next two were $6.99 per month each. That's $83.88 for a year. You said that you did even better than the $77 yearly rate that Bill got. What did you have to do to get your better deal?

I'm getting bored with XM. I got a family plan for two in June for $127.00, which is about $65.00 each. I'm also bored with my i-pods CD's I made. BUT, I'm not bored with my V.
