Be sure and remind Dr. Bob that you are a forum member so you receive the discount. Also ask about the clear straps, I forgot to. The dark ones are okay and hold it in place securely, the clear ones would just be a bit more stealthy.

thanks

My wife doesn't like to much in the new XLR with the top down. I recently traded in my Maserati Spyder GT convertible (for the XLR) which had a wind spoiler which she would ride in. She didn't like the XLR because of the wind when the top was down. I told her I would look for a wind spoiler for the XLR..THANKS FOR SAVING MY MARRIAGE!!!! I just ordered one of the wind spoilers for my XLR.

You should be able to order directly from the website, or use the email link to reach someone. I did try the phone numbers this morning, nothing but a busy signal. Perhaps there is an issue with their phone service?

Wind Deflector

Since the topic of a wind deflector has surfaced again, I have a couple of questions for those who have experience with the one offered by Dr. Bob.

1. How much is the discount for being a member of this forum?
2. With the deflector mounted to the rear of the rollover bars, can you put the top up and down with removing the deflector?
3. Do the mounting straps stretch over time because of the wind pressure on the deflector?
4. Have there been any problems with the deflector yellowing or scratching over time?
5. Are there any alternatives to the one offered by Dr. Bob?

Thanks for your help.

Don't hold me to it since I don't have files in front of me, however I think the discount is 10% - You can mount it on either side of the roll bars, I chose to mount mine on the inside - My straps do not show signs of stretching - I've not experienced yellowing or scratching on mine - I don't know about alternatives, I like mine so I've not shopped the market to see.

Hope that helps. if you have questions, I would suggest contacting Dr. Bob and speak with him directly. He sounds like as big a car nut as all of us! Try sending him a PM or an email if the phones are still acting up.
