It wasn't cool enough to see 2 or 3 xlr spots advertising the XLR.

But when they gave a Crimson Pearl XLR to Tom Brady.....well that was the loudest holler of the night here!

Can't get better than that. What a way to show the world what an XLR is.

Way to go Cadillac!

Perfect choice of vehicle to award the Super Bowl MVP! World Champion player getting America's Number One Luxury Roadster! Great color choice, too. This accolade surely puts Cadillac even closer to reclaiming its "Standard of the World" position.:flag

Just to be fair to the other Cadillac models, the MVP had his choice of the XLR on the field or a CTS, SRX or Escalade. Cadillac wanted to show off the XLR, which is why they used that one on the field. I don't know which one Brady finally chose.

He took the Escalade--which I still can't understand
********************************************

If he lives in New England it makes sense....kinda....

Maybe it's tough to get 4 linebackers in the xlr. :)

On the otherhand....

I drive my Escalade more than the xlr and my s600 combined.

It's just fantastic on the road.....so I could understand.

I guess if we knew what else he drives maybe we would understand.

The Super Bowl??????

The Bowl that should not have been, at least for hits half time show. It was great that the XLR got such great exposure but I am so very sorry that it was via a program that, for it being the biggest entertainment event, i.e, half time, was really, really bad.

Just stop to think about it? Do you think half time was world class? Don't you think Cadillac it wanting to become known again as World Class? And, I'll bet that Cadillac sells move vehicles to us normal people then those hollywood types.

The Super Bowl was a good news bad news deal for XLR. Guilt by association. And, yes I know the Ivory Towers said we've got to be there but I wonder way Cadillac didn't invoke more control over the quality of the half time show.

IMHO the so-called "wardrobe malfunction" will be long forgotten in a few weeks. Only the religious and moral zealots will remember the halftime event by March as anything but a silly momentary diversion. No guilt by association. No problem for Cadillac. The biggest problem is that, the next day, everybody was talking about the x and not the XLR.

Quixotic,

Just exactly my point, the worthless "x' got the play. One, at this point, should spending this kind of money, as the Sponor, to get the biggest bang for the buck. The ad you put out to day only has a very short play unless it was a timeless effort or a complet bust. Cadillac, if it wants to run with the big dogs, needs to spend this amount of money in the very best way it can.

It real boils down to if you want to be on top you need to look like it, act like and be like at all times! The half time show as junk far from something of excellence. And, Cadillac needs to always be shown in a classy setting.

Quixotic,

Thanks for the support. It would be wonderful that the Auto Industry generates such large profits that they can spend the kind of money that is spent at the Super Bowl have it turn out to the worst show every produced. And with Cadillac a sponsor it's assumed that they had some say in what was what. MTV is not the highest class outfit on Earth and if I am not mistaken Cadillac is wanting to calim first in Class! And, it was MTV that put on the half time show, if you could call it that.
