If you drop your ride, you will hate yourself after the first mile, trust me. I dropped my V on the lower bolts at each corner 1" and couldn't wait to get it back where it was intended to be.

Tobi,
Makes for a very hard ride and the front end bounces and won't stop until you slow down. Putting 20's on will also make the ride a little harder, so do one thing at a time.
Put you 20's on and then after a week or two, bring your bolts down 1". First thing you will notice is the car will bottom out up front quite a bit. You can always raise it back up if you only use the lowering bolts on the car. Sorry you can't join the ride to Bowling Green.
Bob

bob, why didnt you like it.
i will get my 20" wheels on monday :))) and i also wanted to lower it 1".
what is the problem??

you can lower 3/4 to 1" on the stock trim adjustment bolts at the ends of the springs, there's not enough room in the wheel wells (or underneath) for anymore than that IMO. I did not find the change in ride that significant. I did it on my 04 XLR and on my V

I heard that when you do this you have to do a 4-wheel alignment as it changes the geometry of the suspension.

I also heard, that its difficult to get this 4-wheel alignment done since its now so low to the ground and many alignment machines can't handle a car that low.

Did you get the alignment done? If not, is there any unusual tire wear?

If you did get the alignment done, was there any trouble finding a shop that could do it?

I drove my 04 lowered for 2 years without an alignment and didn't have any unusual wear. I tried to get my V aligned at the dealer and he bitched that they couldn't get it on the rack. They refered me to a speciality shop nearby that was able to do it with no problem.

Sounds great Tobi,
hope you post some pics soon and as you know where I live I might see your car sometimes in person.
Did you took the old TPM valves of your stock wheels and put it on the new ones?
I just asked because when I put the V wheels on mine (06`s) didn`t matched my car-computer but I bought the right ones and the TPM-system works perfect.

I`m really interrested to see your swarovski-interior.

Much snow overnight, all streets are white, have a nice day.

Hans
