Hi there,

I know this is the XLR forum but I have to tell you I`m looking for a new 06 GTO.
This car is for my daughter, which goes from Jan. 3rd till Aug 12th to an US International language school in Santa Barbara Ca.

My friend Bob (standby) from this forum is right now at a Pontiac dealer in Laguna Niguel and I did some connections via Internet with a different Pontiac dealer to see who gets a very good deal on this car.

Maybe, if some of you in the LA area got some good connections to a Pontiac dealer and could do a great deal, please let me and Bob know!

In Aug.07 we will use this car for XLR-Rendezvous II (if it`s allowed) while my wife and me make a visit to the US and afterwards this GTO will be on a ship on it`s way to Germany. I`m sure my daughter want to keep it!

We love AMERICAN cars:flag

You all have a nice weekend

Try Rydell

Try the Rydell GM dealers in the San Fernando Valley. Think they sell Pontiacs at the San Fernando dealership.

I have purchased to Cadillacs from them. No haggling, lowest price I could find on the internet.

Unfortunately could not work out an XLR from them so ended up buying it up in the east bay area. I don't have any current contacts at Rydell at the time.

Look them up on the internet. They ususally have availablity and sales price listed.

Good Luck

Harry,

The GTO's are great cars. I sold one when I got the XLR. it was by far the best built GM vehicle I had ever owned. I just missed all the luxury touches but the interior materials and fit and finsh are top notch. They do tend to oversteer a bit but it is controllable, that is why they make such great drifitng cars. :lol

So you saw the show on TV when they outfitted a GTO for drifting with the big boys from Japan? I took the one out that Hans daughter is going to get. That's one bad machine.

Hi Kent, I didn`t know you owned a GTO before your XLR! I know how my daughter will feel on Jan. 3. when Bob is picking her up at the LAX Airport with her new GTO. I allways loved GTO`s in the 60s and early 70s and I think it`s a hot machine. Too bad I`ll get to drive it not before Aug.07 when my wife and me will come over to the XLR Rendezvous II.

I hope a GTO is alllowed there, maybe Jim says NO GTO`s:glol

I think it`s a good car just as you say and Bob`s reaction seems to confirm this.
If an XLR V driver says this it must be true!:lol

Hans, You can bring anything you want to the Rendezvous. We all understand tht you won't be able to drive your XLR here. Maybe by Rendezvous time you will be able to get your V and ship it home. Jim
Jim, that would be two cars to ship over to Germany - I might get a rebate:glol

But thanks I can show up for the Rondezvous in my (oh, no my daughters) GTO:lol

Jim,
It would cost to much to ship the V over plus he loses the warranty. Now on the other hand, the GTO will be in my name until he gets ready to ship it overseas. Huuum! wonder if I should keep it. OK, I'l sign it over to him.

Bob, the warranty of the GTO will also be gone when my daughter gets registration in Germany but I take this risk:rolleyes

Not a bit worried about the sign over - I know this gentlemen named "Bob":yesnod
