How many of these have you seen? We got one in yesterday, and with the shale interior, it is really nice. Anybody have an opinion on this color?

Absolutely love our Xenon/Shale '04! -- too bad they don't seem to offer shale interior anymore; I think the black looks too harsh a contrast... any chance it'll come back?

I believe on the fav color poll/thread, they noted that this was the "sleeper hit" of the initial colors...

I have had a 2004 Xenon for over two years and still get a lot of "thumbs up" from other drivers. I wouldn't have purchased it if a black interior had been my only choice. Cadillac should give almost unlimited choice of combinations.

My dad had one and he loved cause when he got it not meany people had XLR but then after a little bit we started seeing more but i only ever saw one other Xenon blue besides my dad oin the ride probably my favorite cadillac besides the infra red on the

In fact when Caddy marketing in their wisdom (which escapes me) decided not to offer the color in their XLR-V's I decided NOT to get one until they do!!

The dealer has 2 black XLR-V's sitting unsold waiting for buyers as of this morning.

The first test drive I`ve made with a XLR in Germany was in May 04 and the color was xenon blue with shale interior - looks great:thumbs

If the export V will come to Germany sometimes next spring I might get a light-platinum or black-raven with shale interior.

But I love my thunder-gray too:flag

The Dirt!

My 04' is Xenon w/shale--what a pain to keep clean!:yesnod

Its my daily driver, and I should buy stock in the Armor All Company (Cleaning Wipes) I go through a tube every month or two and its STILL always dirty!

The entry area/sill has marks in it, from shoes, that I can't get out either!

New York City air is filthy. :eek

My 08' V will have the BLACK interior.

I do think the Xenon/Shale was clearly the best looking combo at the time though--I just wish the ENTIRE interior was the color shown in the catalog--DARK shale, not light cream, almost white! The shale interior is really 2 tone--dark shale on all top surfaces and light cream on the rest of the interior.:cuss

Sorry, I've ranted about this before...it just seemed so appropriate!

i agree, ive had a car with shale interior, its nice to look at but to use it is another thing, i was always cleaning any little bit of dirt. just my 2 cents

Owned one for over two years now. It is still the color I would choose if I were to buy again (or is that 'when it is time to buy again'?).

Gave everyone at the rendezvous a box of magic erasers in a zip lock bag to keep in the trunk well box. Take one out wet it good and put it in the zip lock bag and it stays that way until you need it. Great for bugs on the front or windshield or teeth if you own a motorcycle.
