I own both the mesh windscreen and Windrestrictor. I prefer the mesh because I drive a lot at night and I do not get any glare at night with the mesh. Also, IMO, the mesh stops slightly more backdraft, but both work very, very well. Some people prefer the Windrestrictor because it does not block your view through the rearview mirror like the mesh. The Windrestrictor, IMO, also looks much better and more professional than any other windscreen at any price. Of course, I have not yet seen the pictures from wb6bbz's home made windscreen, so there may still be a contender for best looking windscreen. IMO, of the two, the Windrestrictor is clearly the best deal for the money. A windscreen makes the XLR much more fun to drive with the top down, and there is no better way to drive an X than with the top down.
Completely off subject:
Yesterday I was coming home from work, top down of course. Three women pull up to my left in a Camry and partially block me at a light. As they all three look at me the passenger rolls down her window and shouts, "I love your car." Then she licks her lips, throws me a kiss, and they run the light and make a left turn. I was tempted to follow, but you know.... I am just glad my wife was not in the car to see or I might have spent the night on the couch through no fault of my own.
