I have been wondering lately why XM Radio wouldn't pony up for the upgrade to the XM antennas in the mirrors like the 2006s for those of us who refuse to install the wart. Similar deal to the OnStar/Verizon deal. Three year contract, yada yada yada. That's about, what $360+ in revenue for what's likely under $1000 in cost. Oops, answered my own question. Hope you find this entertaining.:glol

Yes, technically there is also the hole that would be left in the trunk with the antenna removed. It just wouldn't look right to me without the antenna.

I can only imagine how long it would take to route the antenna wires to the mirrors on an already built car!

Quixotic,
when I traded in my XLR, the wart was still in the box!

My daeler showed me his XLR...he had a "button" antenna on his dash that was hardly noticable and he claimed worked perfectly.
