hi,
I think these wheels look really nice (especially the black chrome) but I don't like the idea of 6-branch wheels (which is a more Japaneese thing)

what do you think of those?

I am actually waiting for my own rims... though I went with a really crazy model, I will post photos as soon as it gets here... Hopefully, it won't look too weird, (the wheels I ordered are really takki...)

do you actually like the design as well, do you think 275 is too wide for 8.5 wide wheels
I don't care for the Boss caps, but really like the wheel.
275 should fit a 8.5, may depend on the side wall height, your tire shop should be able to tell you. 275 will fit the wheel well.

1 XLR, you are the only one I really take feeback seriously from due to the fact that your makavali wheels looked great and the best wheels on an XLR yet

SO Thank you for the ffeback because I also believe these would look good
but its good to know what others say, also How is the gap in between your wheel welll, I want to use the same tire sizes you have on these

I think you're right....those would look good on a ricer.
Funny you ordered wheels that you think are really takki, I hope you like them.

Thanks for the compliments, but there's other great feedback here when people are around and choose to chip in. (Of course there's a fair amount of childs play here too)

rear I had 275/30/20 on 9.5 wheel.....front 255/35/20 on 8.5 wheel

so you need to check with your tire people if a 275 will fit the 8.5 wheel with the 30% side wall and still give you the right overall height.

great feedback Quiexotic....I am the only one to notice that wheels make our cars look really jacked up, is that thunder grey lowered as much as possible on stock bolts or is it stock ride height

I don't know how true this is but I heard that you can lower the XLR by turning down the bolts that are alreay there, but I don't know if I would compromise the stabilitrak or the warrenty.

Rake

I have had so many people tell me that they love the rake on the car and it only adds to the stealthy look, but everyone has their own ideas as to what they like.

mine is already lowered doing the bolt trick as much as possible but the back is still not low enough, but you heard right..the bolt lowering technique is not a myth

xlr23,

you seem to be really into the Boss wheels, the other model is nice but I prefer the first one you showed... have you considered 3-piece wheels at all? My guess these Boss wheels are not forged so they will heavier... have a look at Asanti and GFG, they make some very nice custom three piece which are very light... (they can also customize the finish so that you will still be able to get them in black chrome...

have a look... forged wheels can be a life saver when it comes to weight, especially if you are going up in size...

He is a tire/wheel shop owner. He never mentioned to me he lowered the car, so I assume he didn't.

I am very familiar with all wheel manufacturers, and i hvae had numerous cars with 3 piece wheels all by AVUS, a lot better than GFG or any thing else out there but I am trying to find an easy way out because I honestly dont thikn this car is worth put wheels on...its too much of a hasstle, plus I am not sure that I would keep it more than 6 months

kay,

if you get the Boss ones, let me know how they are (finish and weight..) I am interested in finding quality wheels (one-piece) for another car... From personal experience, O.Z. has worked well before but their designs an finishes are limited... But Boss has some nice designs indeed... ... and the finish (black chrome) looks very good on the pics...
