I am too far from Tampa at present, but my daughter is moving to Tampa on January 15th and so I am sure I'll be visiting her from time to time. I would enjoy meeting you then. Are you considering going to the XLR Rendezvous II this coming August at Bowling Green, KY? Another member, Ocool in Orlando, and myself in Panama City are looking for more Florida members to join us there.

Yes, we are planning to head to Bowling Green this summer. August is a good time to leave Florida for a week!

I also know there are at least three other XLRs in the Spring Hill area as we see them from time to time, of course never while we are in ours or going the same way...

It is great to finally be able to post on here, I look forward to meeting some of you soon and more of you in August.

I recall that ocool was working on a plan to create a caravan heading out of Orlando where he is located. We will probably head over that way and hook up from there.

August trip

I believe the best way to start is by heading up the turnpike from Orlando and picking up other cars along the way. I'm thinking that if we could make Atlanta on Wed. afternoon and stay there wed nite, It would be a nice ride into Bowling green on Thursday. A good junction would be where 75 meets the turnpike and then further north where I-10 crosses the turnpike. Any one from south fl going can meet at Orlando and head up in a convoy. give me some feed back and suggestions and your ideas. Bill (ocool)

That would work well for us as it would save us running east to Orlando first.

August XLR Rendezous II

That's great paul, I've contacted the cadillac dealer here in Orlando and he's going to promote this event and try to contact other buyer's of the xlr to inform them of the upcoming event. Hopefully we'll be able to attract a group from this area for the august trip. You might do the same in your area to enlist other owners from the bay area. We could meet at the junction of 75 and the turnpike. The professor might be able to meet up with us at I-10 and 75 if its not to far out of his way. Hopefully we can make Atlanta or somewhere close to spend Wed. nite and then continue on to Bowling Green on Thursday. Bill (ocool)

Too bad you're not over this way (Orlando). we have a group called the Hunter's Creek Sports Car Club and meet once a month to do fun things with our cars. We have all makes of sports cars in the club. We do drive outs for lunch or dinner or events and it's really great to associate with other sports car owners. We have about 25 cars and it's low key, no dues or rules. just have fun. In fact I'm holding an open house in february for the club. Gary from (winter springs) and the XLR forum is planning on joining us. If you ever want to come over for the day and join in, let me know. Bill (ocool)
