We have talked some about waxing our cars before on this forum somewhere but can anyone tell me how many coats of wax should be applied at one time... What is the best way to do this.
I would like to have the color look "deep".

I have used paste wax in the past and have tried two or three coats but I really don't see that big a difference.

Is it better to use a paste wax or a liquid wax? Is it better to hand wax or use a buffer between coats?

Last time there were a lot of different types of wax talked about but is there that big a difference in the wax's? I know it takes longer to use the paste wax but was told long ago that it would last a whole lot longer.. 6 months or so.

Does one last longer then another really?

Use a polymer... not wax. They last longer, provide UV protection and don't build up anywhere (seams & weather strips).

I use Zaino (which has bewildering instructions but is actually very easy to use) but there are many good ones on the market. Most of the polymers can be built up to provide an extra deap shine. Wax will can't be stacked that way.
