Replacement rims

Grand Prix of Newport Beach, CA made me a complete set of new rims and made them 3"' deep in front and 2" deep in front. The only problem was the axle in the rear was protruding so you coulnd't put the cap on, so we cut 1" of the end of the axle. Here's a photo of the new look.

My Pirelli`s arrived today at my local tire shop and I have them on my car by 6 pm
this evening.

This weekend I do some pics and I hope Bob (standby) is posting them for me.

A very nice weekend to you all

You was right when you wasn`t satisfied with your new rims before - but now - just great!

We could have gone deeper had I given up the run flats and went to 20's but I didn't want to give them up, plus it would have been an added expense. I guess Hans and I will see you in the Big A in June. We will be arriving from Las Vegas around 3 or 4 in the afternoon of the 10th, see ya in the bar for a sarsaparilla. Cell phone for contact in the afternoon. Maybe we can meet on I-40 and side saddle into the Big A from the west. 949-306-3637. Anyone going may also use this number.Bob

Bird dog fee of $500

Tim,
Funny thing, Jet just mentioned that Corvette guys would love to have that deep look and on the way home from Grand Prix, two guys in a C6 asked me how I got that deep dish look on almost the same brake setup as they had.
I would be glad to talk to Grand Prix for you. Cost was$4,500 without tax, mounting and balancing.
Here is there website, but unfortunetly it's under construction

http://www.grandprixperformance.com/

You could probably get $2,000 for your V rims which would break it down further.
Keep in mind if you make the same as mine I get a bird dog fee of $500. Just kidding.
You will have to have the rear axles cut off about 1 inch to accomadate the Cadillac caps. I don't see that you would compromise the axles by doing this. I had quite a few mechanics tell me it wouldn't.
Again, if I can be of any help, let me know.

Bob, I'll be hitting I-40 at Flagstaff, Winslow or Holbrook, probably won't decide which route until I pull out of the drive Saturday. I'll PM you my cell. If you don't have Verison and a dual mode phone you may find portions of the reservation without cell service.

I have never found a lacking of cell sites along I-40, but then again I don't remeber using my phone to much on the super slab. We should be around Holbrook between 1 and 2.
Thanks
Bob
