Can anyone provide me with the trunk dimensions for the XLR, with the top down?

I have read in numerous places that the volume is 4.4 cubic feet, but need to know how much luggage I can fit into the space. I will be renting this car for a weekend drive in Los Angeles, so I am very interested in knowing the actual dimensions.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi kynmkrby,
with the top up you got almost 12 cubic feet of luggage space. I´m sure you`ll get the stuff for your weekend-trip into this trunk. :yesnod

Essentially, you carry your luggage with the top up, then take the top down when you drop off the luggage. With the top down, you can fit a couple of soft carry on size bags. With the top up, you can fit a couple of small suitcases and some other stuff. This is not a car for lots of luggage. Why not visit your local Caddy dealer before you commit to the rental? Seeing is believing.

Limited space in top down configuration.

Quixotic is exactly right. The best way to travel with luggage is top-up. Unload at your destination, and then drop the top.

We have never felt this was a problem. Driving top-up is (especially at freeway speeds) is pretty cool, too. You can fully appreciate that Bose!

It's funny. The one time we packed to travel with the top down there were these big fires (a couple of years ago). When we got to PCH, where we were planning on taking the top down, it was "raining" lots of ash (I guess we were perfectly down wind) and we decided to forego PCH with the top down... :banghead
