A few differences I've noticed on the V vs. my '04.....are either of these similar in the 05 or 06 XLR models?

when you move the shifter from auto to manual, the gear # does not display on the HUD until you make a gear change....then it remains.

Also when in manual shifting mode, no matter what gear you are in, if you slow down enough, about 5mph or less, it will automatically shift down to first.

I'm impressed

I just picked up on this when I drove home. I like to see the number in the hud, but I guess thats another change. My tranny isn't as smooth as my 04, I guess they feefed it up. I also left my key for the house at Allens, because my 04 is still there, pressed the button on the visor to open the garage door and nothing happened...........back to Allen.

with the tranny, put some miles on it and as far as I´ve heard it`s the best transmission GM has ever built.
with the key was sure NO PROBLEM with this kind of ride you got:thumbs
