So the XLR has been sitting for a while. Started it up and realized the folding top was completely dead and the trunk wouldn't open either. If I manually lifted the trunk open it would close properly using the decklid button.

Scanned for DTCs and got B3669 - Deck Lid position circuit.

I proceeded to remove the plastic trim and check the connector on the trunk latch mechanism; looked ok and plugged it back in. Oddly the top will operate as long as I manually open the trunk first. In order to close the top it's the same procedure. Get out of the car, manually open the trunk, and then press the toggle the switch to close the top.

I'm thinking I have to replace the whole latch assembly unless there is a sensor available separately. Any guidance greatly appreciated!

Did you ever figure out this issue? I'm dealing with the same problem right now. Wondering if it can be fixed with a Tech 2 relearn.
