Has anyone else heard this comment? I have had several people say the car reminds them of the batmobile. People that don't know car's ask me what kind of a car is it, and that it looks like the batmobile. Just wondering anyone else getting this? :confused

Hi upstate, I don`t know what the look of the XLR got to do with the batmobile!!!

It`s more a stealth fighter look. But here in Germany I get so many questions about my car and I meet only two guys who said "oh a cadillac xlr" but anybody likes it because it`s no copy of any other car.
When I got my DTS in 2000 here in Germany most people thought it was a Bentley.

I get batmobile all the time too. However I never get tired of the compliments. People always roll down their windows and make a comment or go by with a thumbs up. I do however feel bad for the guy who was taking a really long look (little to long) and rear ended the car in front of him on the 405.

Batmobile

We had someone videotape us as we were driving down the highway. We've also had folks run up to us as we were raising/lowering the top in a parking lot. Some of the attention is flattering, but after awhile you get nervous as you walk up to your car in a parking lot with people all around it...ours is black so we get Batmobile all the time.

It is fun to see how all of us all over the country and overseas experience the same reactions from people. I have a 2004 Black Raven XLR and people tell me it looks like a "Batmobile"; "stealth fighter"; James Bond car - especially when I put the top up or down; even a "rocket ship". I took my wife to a German restaurant here in Panama City, Florida and when we pulled up and parked in front of the restaurant, the entire restaurant, all the customers, the owner, the cook, and all the employees came out to see the car, so my wife and I left our table and went out with them to demo the car. It has been a lot of fun.
