I just got my new XLR last week. But I have noticed a continual squeeking in the breaks when the breaks are applied in light and medium breaking situations. Is anyone else experiencing this? If so, were you able to get it corrected? If so, how??

as I can read you got your XLR just a couple of days and I would say observe it till you have about 1000 miles on. If the squeeking is still there then you need to change the rotors but what I think is, that it goes away by itself.
( I had this on three new cars but only for the first 600 - 1000 miles of driving).

Guys, there must be 100 threads on the squeaky brakes--including the service bulletin numbers that you have to bring to your dealer.

Most Caddy dealers don't know ANYTHING about the 1, 2 or 3 XLR's they've sold, and they appreciate your telling them what to do, and where to find the help! Mine actually thanked me for telling them how to get paid for replacing my front rotors and pads

This site has been invaluable to me, I've learned things (not in the manual) like holding down the TC button for 8 seconds while stopped, to get to the 2nd level of "no traction/stabilitrak control" so that you can smoke tires and get the best 0-60 times, etc. I think the tranny actually holds the gears longer in "high performance mode" but I'm usually shifting manually, when I turn off the Stabilitrak. I thought the tires were hitting the nose/cowl when I'd floor it to pull onto a highway from a right angle (sharp right at a "T") but it turns out the Stabilitrack was choking the performance!
