Hi! I have missed the forum, and wow, how it has changed! Just today I noticed that my lower grille was broken. I am having a hard time finding a replacement! Any suggestions? The upper grille is chrome...but not the mesh one. Thanks!
I don't know if anyone is picking up the pieces of what was the XLR Botique, but they carried a stainless steel replacement lower grill in either silver or black that fit over the stock plastic grill. It is better than the stock grill because it does not break. I put one on mine right after I purchased the car (used) because the stock grill had several broken ribs.
Another alternative is the aftermarket mesh grill.
That sounds like a great solution! Have you heard anything else bad about the XLR Boutique? I ordered something from there once, but never got it. I'll look them up again, though.....thanks!
Ok, I couldn't even get onto the XLR Boutique's website. Thanks, ccclarke for the picture. Now I know what to order. The Cadillac dealership here looked at me like I was crazy when I went to order the part yesterday. They couldn't figure out which part to order. :/
I still have a few overlay grills available @$25 each + shipping. For anyone interested e-mail me for a picture or someone can post one here for me. The overlays are bright aluminum color with a basketweave design which mimics the "V" grills and can be installed in just a couple of minutes with "tiewraps".
Batgirl, did you ever get the grill situation handled? What did you go with? And what was the deal with the XLR Boutique and your item, was the missing item ever resolved? It is so hard to find aftermarket parts for these cars I would like to know who is a reilable vendor and who is not.

Check out the thread Heads up for xlr forum... for more info on the botique. It would be interesting to know if the overlay grills sold by the botique are available from the manufacturer ...whoever that is???
I bought one of Dave's grilles and it looks great! It was simple to install, providing you have small hands! Dave shipped it really quickly, too. Cadillac should have put those on the cars in the first place! Big thanks to Dave!!!!!
