Hi. I just took delivery of an Infrared 2006 XLR. So far, only 258 miles and love it(as does every living being that I pass on the road).

I haven't fiddled too much with things, I enjoy learning as I go, but one thing that I find annoying is I cant seem to figure out what position to put the "stalk" in to shut off the wipers completely.. Every one I try still leaves them in AUTO mode, so if I try to Windex the windshield with the car running, the wipers SWIPE the clean windows (annoying).

Any answers will be helpful ...

just turn em off

they do have an off position. If they are on the delay mode they will work as rainsensors but if you turn them OFF they won't run regardless of what you wash them with. The other option is that you could turn off the car if you want to wash the windows:smash

Push the stalk down all of the way to the last detent. If you go further than that the wipers will be in "mist".

Another way to do it is to go up (counter-clockwise) until the wipers wipe once (and only once). At the point move the stalk back down one detent and they will be off. If the wiper continuously move then you need to go back down two detents.
