Radio/Gap/Voice Recognition Problems

2948 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  alk3997
Finally got my Black/Black XLR. What a gorgeous car! Dealer was super staying late Wednesday night so I could get it in time for Thanksgiving weekend.

Anyways, no problems until Sunday morning, when I noticed that the Radio, Gap, and Voice Recognition did not work. Interestingly, all these controls are on the steering wheel. Taking it to Cadillac service this Tuesday morning. I hope it's something that can be easily remedied..

Anyone else experience this problem with their new car.:nodno

Sorry to hear that. Are the radio controls around the nav screen working at all? If they are, it sounds like the system that converts the push buttons to commands is having issues.

Also, for voice recognition the nav disc must be installed. I assume you knew that already, but figured it didn't hurt to mention it.
Nav disc is in and working fine. still giving voice directions, just not responding to my voice commands.

satellite signal coming in well also, just not getting volume to hear the stations.
I was wondering if you could post the resolution to your issue when you find out? I'm assuming it would be one of the control modules that handles the commands from the streering wheel controls, but would like to find out what the final answer is.
