Just a quick question...

Anybody know how the radiator in a 04 xlr is taken out? Pulled out from the top or the bottom?

Knowledge of the core support...

IMHO the radiator must come out the TOP, because the core support is a cradle under the radiator and there is no space front to rear for access. IF you unbolt the core support brackets (to go down) you will be required to remove everything with the radiator. The hoses, fans, condenser, and A/C plumbing. I would remove the air intakes, and pull the radiator out from the top.

The radiator comes out from the top --AFTER a significant amount of component removal from both the top and bottom. The shop manual has a good procedure for this.

Remove the cooling fans module, transmission cooler lines,radiator hoses and upper radiator support. It helps to recover the A/C system first. Have fun.

Does that mean it is possible (if difficult) to remove the radiator without removing the condenser? That would be useful to know. What is the snag?
