Protecting the top when down
Potential problem: When the top is down, the edge of it is exposed to items in the "trunk" possibly bouncing up and hitting it, possibly chipping the paint.
Solution: After trying many different things, we have concluded a baby blanket is perfectly sized, inexpensive, and soft enough to protect the top from potential damage from objects in the trunk bouncing up when you go over a bump, etc.

Yes, but a little bit of the top peeks out and is exposed.
