Hi SRT10GTS,

I´m german and life here in germany but I can tell you for an 05 - 72 K is a good price. If it still was an 04 model I would say its too high.

Buy it, its a damn good car :thumbs

:lol but when you buy it you have to name you XLR10GTO :glol

We hope to welcome you to the family soon. Got mine for $72K including Tax and registration. I would still buy it for what you were quoted. After driving my since early November, it's worth every penny. Unless something major goes wrong I will not go to any other roadster especially a Benz unless I could affors the SLR. There's not another car on the market that can give you the same bang for the buck. You could pay $188K for the Benz SL65 and the XLR will still turn more heads amd get more compliments. :thumbs

Hi Rainey,
72 K incl. tax was a very good price but I think it`s an 04 model, as mine, am I right? But the same as you, I wouldn`t trade it with any SL - the XLR is not just a very good car, it`s also a head turner number one. :thumbs :thumbs :thumbs

I paid $75k "out the door" six weeks ago for my '05 (included taxes and all that other stuff). Also included XM radio (I don't know why they call XM radio an option . . . all the cars seem to have it). Depending on what your state taxes look like, $72k sounds like a decent deal.

Kenley,

You have gotten yourself quite a deal there. I figure you paid about $69,000, which is $7 grand under MSRP. I guess they are starting to wheel and deal with the XLR's. The V's will be a different story, but I will say I'm locked in at MSRP for a V when I get it.

I had the feeling that sales of '05 XLRs had slowed down here in the Washington D.C. area. When I bought mine, the dealer (Lindsay Cadillac) had four on their lot; now, they're down to just one (which means they've sold two within the last month or so). Don't know who bought them, as I've still seen only one other XLR on the road around here (which is absolutely fine with me . . . I love being exclusive!).

They don't necessaryly sell them, sometimes they want a vehicle for a good customer and will have to negotiate for that vehicle and give in to dealing off an XLR. My dealer had another dealer call him to buy a high dollar Escalade and he told the other dealer he would trade for an XLR, and of course some coin thrown in. Know my dealer has three on his floor. NO. he sold one yesterday.

Skyline? Fer cryin' out loud, I live in the Bailey's Crossroads area! Haven't seen YOUR car on the streets . . . the only other XLR I've seen was a black one, cruising down 14th Street in Washington.

Allyn (that's my first name . . . Kenley is my license tag

I bought an 05. We went back a week later and boutght another 05 for my mom and they even put on some nice 20" chrome wheels for a modest price. The dealer had 6 05 XLR's so maybe they were wanting to move them. We've also purchased many cars for the dealer. Quite a few Benz's, Hummers, Lexus and now Caddy's.

Took mine to the shop yesterday for a Service Ride Control that came up on the monitor.

Take care,
Jason
