I love my PASSION RED, when I saw the color, I had to have it. I drove my husband and the GM at my Cadillac store crazy until they got it for me. My 04 was Crimson Pearl ( deeper darker red), I have had my passion red over a year, and I still think it is the perfect color for me. :yesnod :yesnod

There is a Passion Red example for sale locally, with only 1000 miles on it. I have been interested in the XLR for a while, but my inability to find one in my favorite color has hindered me . . . until now. I am going to look at it this weekend.

I think the color is terrific!!!! When the Cadillac Brass mentioned that they were going to offer it when we were at Bowling Green some of us suggested that more interior options be made available.

Red/Red
Black
a richer saddle color

I am hoping that more upgraded leathers and interior enhancements are made next year--2010.

If you get a chance see if you can sit in a 2009 CTS Sport or CTS-V.

They have been doing a good job there.

The colors like the so-called crystal red, or Dodge's "Inferno red', are about 45 degrees off the color spectrum from true red. Cadillac finally stops beating around the bush and created a TRUE red; you know, fire engine red, Ferrari red, blood red. Yet some people think it's horrific? This can only be because of a dislike for the color red, no other reason.

We all have individual tastes. I happen to think that those make pretend reds look more like burgundy to me, my least favorite color for a car.

I'm picking up my TRUE red XLR tommorrow, installing a set of Foose speedster chrome five stars; as far as I'm concerned, my car will look like the XLR should look.

WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!!!

I like red too. When the XLR Team first proposed the color on a limited basis I was hoping to persuade them to add some more interior options.. Like Red. Oh Well.

Regards

Deadred

Prior to my '05 silver XLR, I had a Crimson Red Pearl DTS sedan. I loved that color and would have prefered a red XLR. I never see one on the road. Color ? Just a subjective choice I know, but thats what makes the world go around.:jester

Thanks for welcoming me to the forum! Happy New Year to all!

Yes, I purchased the Passion Red in mid December, from Capitol Cadillac in Maryland. This is the only pic I have of the actual car, which is from the dealers photos.

I am absolutely thrilled. I'm developing "user's anxiety!"

I like the car so much I don't want to use it :nono
Afraid I might get a ding or scratch!

Mine is #144/250.

Can't wait until summer! Will post more photos.

Does anyone know of nice five stars that would fit the stock tires?

Thanks

REAL NICE RIDE!!!!

I hope you like Capital Cadillac. I used to do business with them and was very pleased with their service.
XLR I FL,

Thanks. Yes, I was very pleased. I did business with Mr. Shirley. Spent most of the day there.

The dark side was that it was torrential rain all day. I drove from Philadelphia at 6AM. Drove home in the dark in pouring rain on Rt 95. Petrified. Twice cars pulled into my lane right in front of me. When I arrived home my girlfriend had to pry my fingers off the steering wheel! :)

I always say why wait for summer! Most of my clients drive their XLR year round, because they love it so much. I had one individual that purchased a Land Rover to drive in bad weather, just after he purchased his XLR-V.

The Land Rover only has 3,000 miles on it in two years, because he said the V is to much fun to let sit!

This past summer, three Passion Red XLR owners were part of the XLR RIII in Bowling Green. I think there are a number of photos of some of them together. One of my clients even dressed in the matching color to his Passion Red XLR.

Red XLR

Interesting how things work out. I wrote in several months ago about wanting to own a red XLR as I had a DTS in that color and liked it. Well, on 1/6/09 I purchased a new '08 in Crystal Red with the Cashmere and Ebony interior. I want to thank the person that sent in the picture I used for the Avatar. Different year but that's ok.:cheers
