Does anyone know of a "performance tuner" package or product. :rolleyes I have checked with Hypertech, Superchip, HPTuners, etc. and no-one seems to have a package - or has one in process? I am specifically looking for the XLR 4.6L engine (not the supercharged as there are products for this engine).

These are great cars and the 4.6L Northstar has been around long enough - you expect someone to address this field.

Thanks :D

Ok let me try again - for most performance cars (Vettes, Mustangs, etc) - there are numerous companies which have "tuners, programs or chips" which allow access to the ECU/ECM to modify the performance parameters of the engine, adjust F/A ratio, shift points, RPM limiters, adjust speedometer, etc.

I have been trying to locate one of these devices/programs which will work for the 4.6L XLR engine (2006 model). To date - I have not found one and have contacted a variety of the companies which make these for other cars.

Hope that clarifies things :)

That is really weird - they have evidently released the 4.4L XLR (supercharged) and the 4.6L CTS version - why would they hold back on the XLR 4.6L? :(
Not really expecting an answer - more a ponderance - unless somenoe knows :D

Can we "talk" to someone at GM about this? Does anyone have a contact?

Jim, I understand what you're looking for for your XLR and Dadonator is correct in that GM has not released the necessary codes. What I don't understand is what you may know about 'products' or 'releases' for the supercharged V. If you're assuming the supercharger itself, it also is factory built and I'm not aware of any after market tuning or add-ons.

The HPTuner product indicates it supports the 4.4L XLR engine. The link below shows the vehicles they support and under the GenIV vehicles the 4.4L engine for the XLR is discussed. I have asked the company about the 4.6L and they don't have it it process yet.

So it seems strange that the 4.4L is released along with the 4.6L in the DTS (sorry noted the CTS in previous comment) - yet the 4.6L in the XLR is not.
