I think somewhere we have talked about oil leaks but I can not find them.
They maybe inside another thread. So I will start a new thread just for oil leaks.

Anyway I have an oil leak. It's on the drivers side of the motor and I would say it is just forward of the middle of the motor. I know this by backing the car out and then looking at were the tires were before backing. I am going to have to jack the car up next time and see if I can find it myself.

I have taken it in three times for this. The first time they could not find it. The second time they said it was a loose plug and the last time I think they told they could not find it again. I am not crazy "well maybe just a little" there is oil on the floor after I move the car and I clean up the leaking oil each time.

Now this is not a fast leak or a lot of oil "maybe only a soup spoon amount" as a matter of fact it sometimes only shows up after the car is not driven for a week or two.
It's not a big of a deal but I don't think it should leak. I have Ford pickup and a Ford Limited and they have more miles on them and they do not leak.
The XLR is a 2004 with only 10600 miles.

Anyone else having this problem?

Hans (Harry) had this problem twice and the second time they had to take the engine out and it was down for over three weeks. Look up his posts.

Had my 05 fixed the first time at Tustin Cadillac in Tustin CA. There is a servie buletin covering the issue with the driver side valve cover. Valve cover gasket needs to be replaced. A time consuming job since the steering has to be dismantled, reinstalled and then the vehicle needs to be aligned.

Good luck!
