Last month I put new chrome (corvette ZO6 type )wheels on the Xlr, along with the V-mesh grill and Corsa exhaust, it really set the car off. I'll post pictures soon.
Looking forward to the Bowling Green trip in August. Hope we can talk up the trip to create interest among other xlr owners. Anyone out there considering the trip that hasn't signed up yet? Get your registrations in soon. Bill (ocool) orlando fl.

Looking forward to the trip and to see your wheels and grill installed. All you need is the hood and few badges for a mock V.

Bill-

In a different post recently it was stated that the mesh grill for the V is why it has no adaptive cruise, claiming that it was due to the grill interfering with the radar signal in some way. Have you noticed any problem with this?

If I'm not mistaken, some people that changed out their grills didn't have any trouble or very little.
It's pretty clear that GM doesn't want law suits for that one time that it reflects back because of weather conditions, sunlight, rain etc.

adaptive cruise control

Paul, it's my understanding that putting the mesh grill has no effect on the cruise control. It's mounted in the space under the mesh grill. On the V, there's a mesh grill down below also, which does interfear with the cruise radar unit. They're behind the plastic pcs. on each side of the lower opening on the XLR. I had the dealer install my mesh grill and thats the info he told me. They now have a small mesh for the intake between the radar sending/receiving units but I thought it looked better being black and not look like something just stuck on. Bill (ocool)
