Couldn't stand the location of the Supercharged badge hid way down on the door, now everyone can see it and think twice.

Removed Supercharged Badge on door and put new ones on cowling

OK, you have to take it to Paint Shop Prdpo

I'll tale a close up

Absolutely great,:thumbs :thumbs :thumbs and this is where the SUPERCHARGED sign should be from factory on!!!!!!
Sometimes metric blue bunnys got some good ideas!

I know where I put mine on when I get the V.:yesnod

Hans

Looks good Bob. Were you able to get your wheel center replaced?
that looks much better.:thumbs
I took all of mine off....... sides and back, including the V
considering having it painted back on the sides a bit larger, then clear coated
.....but maybe the hood is the place to go:rolleyes
G
Yes Jim,
But, he didn't want to add a few drops of silicone to keep them snug. I don't think I'll be doing 158 in this life time anytime soon unless I'm flying. As a matter of fact, not over 100 mph

Sounds like your looking to blow some unsuspecting vehicles off at a few lights with no badges on.
I wanted it where they could see it and not have any excuses. It's tough to read, even if it where bigger and still on the door.
How about a bigger decal on the hood?
bob
I was thinking of putting it down here....in bigger black lettering.

I don't like cleaning around the raised emblems.

nobodys gonna get in front of me to see it on the hood
....I think that's only for you to see:lol

I have ordered an 07 V and I have a few questions. Are the original "Supercharged" badges just held on with adhesive or are there holes in the door? Also, I can't tell from the distance in the photo whether the new hood badges are chromed metal or a decal. Also, where did you get the new badges for the hood and how are they held on?

You mention that the car will have to go to the paint shop but is that just to move the badges or is some painting required?
G
I think you might be asking Mike about his clear coating his painted on Supercharged, and me about the supercharged on my cowling on the hood.
I'll just answer mine.................All badges have a backing that sticks on the surface, they don't drill holes anymore. A heat gun, needle nose pliers and some Goof Off, a good thumb nail will take care of the backing. $25.00 bucks for two Supercharged badges at Cadillac.

Marvowen,
they are chromed letters, no decal.

the original lettering is a chromed plastic with and adhesive backing. They are easily removed, and leave no marks after a coat of wax. I use dental flose on a warm day. Bob bought new ones from the dealer to put one his hood. I'm considering having mine painted on because I don't like the raised letters and the're too small to read
Hey, thanks for answering my questions. Just a note Bob, I also thought that GM had gone to adhesive for all of the badges but when I asked the dealer to remove the Cadillac wreath from the trunk of my wife's new DTS, they informed me that they couldn't because holes were used in the lid for allignment. That's why I asked about the door's Supercharged badges.

Also, how do I specify the new badges for the cowl? Do you have part numbers?
the crest / wreath on the XLR front and back are plastic with adhesive, but they also have tabs / holes for alignment

Hans
