Yes, i'd be surious on price.

I was just up in NYC and one fo the dealres had an 06 V with a lease price of $799/mo on a 27 month lease.

Seems pretty good to my, and not like a $100K price tag.

Here are the pics of my new 2007 V!

First, my dealer honored my GMID certificate so the price was $89,000. Then I had $2000 GM Card dollars so the NET price was $87,000! which is exactly what this car should cost. Because of the horrible depreciation i experienced on my 2006 XLR I leased the 2007 V for 2 years (10,000 miles) at $940 per month with nothing down. GREAT DEAL

I sold my 2006 XLR. The V drives better, smoother, handles better - I really love it.

:yesnod :yesnod Took delivery of my "V" yesterday....What a rocket

Can someone tell me how the exhaust baffle override that I have read about on this forum works and where I can get one installed.on

Also, has anyone had any luck with having the stock 19" wheels chromed...

Congrats Jack

Yes Jack, it is a rocket. You can do the remote exhaust such as the one 1_XLR gave you or the $1.99 version by cutting the red wire by the module in the trunk and installing a switch up front. I I hadn't already done it this way, I probablywould go with the remote.

Picked up a new GTO for Hans daughter who is going to school over here in January and I let my daughter drive my V, when we pulled up to a light, she gave me that look and we both hit it. I jumped out by two car lengths with the 400HP GTO and she went by me like I was standing still, I thought it was a jet dragster. She said later, "how do you like being beat by your own car?". Told her I love it.
Enjoy Jack

There is a module in the left rear trunk near the tailight. Move the carpet and take off the lid. There is a plug that you can snap out. If you have your car running, the exhaust will get loud the minute you unsnap the plug, cut the red wire and add some wire on these two ends and take them up behind the seat and fish them through to the front. I bought a small rocker switch and installed it in the rear of the console glove box. that piece snaps out so you can drill a hole in it for the rocker switch, make sure you drill the hole where the back of the rocker switch will not hit anthing. I have pics if you need them.

standby--what switch do you replace up front? Thanks

Thanks Bob.....Have not had a chance to really give it a go but will soon. Cadillac coughed up almost $10,000 to avoid a lemon law case on my 05 so the price was really attractive.

It's black on black and beautiful:yesnod

Glad to hear that you too where able to force a buy back. What did you mean by $10,000.

I get my check for my buy back tomorrow by 3PM for $108,000 which is exactly what my V cost me with tax, so I traded from a 04 up to a 06-V for free.

Let me know if you want to put in the switch, I'll be more than happy to help.
You will love this machine.

Bob...Was it you that moved the "SUPERCHARGED"letters from the door to the hood. If so, would love to see a picture and get any helpful hints you might have.
Also, were you able to reuse the same letters or were new ones required.

Yes, I'm probably the only one that moved them. Use a piece of thread and go back and forth behind the letters, then you will have to use Goof Off or some type of glue remover to remove the rest of the glue. then polish............and no, you cannot use them again. I think two of them cost $17.00 at Cadillac.

Put a thin straight edge along the cowling so the letters won't try to sag, as one of mine did.

Mike...Have just received the Mild 2 Wild Nakidparts switch and am a little confused. The only instructions are for a Corvette and none for the XLR. I see from Bobs post some time ago that the operative wire is the Red one but I can't figure out how to handle the other wires attached to the switch such as the one intended for the fuse box on the Corvette.

Any advise will be appreciated........Jack :)

Jack,
Don't confuse my hard wire job to the remote job. I don't think he uses the wires in that trunk compartment at all. He just conncects to a fuse if I have remembered correctly what he said.

The Mild 2 Wild remote unit is installed in the trunk of an XLR-V by splicing into the red wire on the baffle control unit. It is actually a slightly different unit than the one used for a Z06 (which is installed directly into the fuse block under the dashboard).

The unit comes with two key fobs that control the opening and closing of the exhaust baffles. There is no need to run any wires or install any swithces in the passenger compartment.

If you e-mail Ed at Nakidproducts he'll provide you with additional information and send you pictures of the V installation.
