Mirror problems

3788 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  justice1950
My mirrors are not moving into curbside assist when I put the car in reverse; they don't move until AFTER I shut the car off AND open the driver's door. Additionally, they are not moving back by themselves, I have to adjust them every time I get back in the car. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem? I'm not sure if they worked correctly before I put them back on or not...
thanks

Try to put in new memory settings and see if that works. REMEMBER- there is a memory for the EXIT setting as well.
Rod,

You probably know this is an option as to whether you want them to move or not. If you have chosen to have them move obviously there is a problem. In the meanwhile you can choose the option to turn off this feature so it won't be necessary to adjust the mirror each time you start up.

Good advice from both homegameroom and XLR Lover ... Let me elaborate a little more.
1) I'm guessing that the curbside assist option is turned off ... This is an option/setting in the DIC. If needed, check the online owners manual for enabling this feature (called Park Assist). Remember, if you adjust the mirror while in reverse, this will be the new setting when Park Assist is activated.
2) As for adjusting the mirrors each time you get in the vehicle, try setting your seat adjustment and mirrors ... Then press and hold the seat memory button until you hear it beep. Again, the center memory button is for the exit feature ... That too is adjustable.

Hope this helpz,
