I just thought I'd share a couple of thoughts- nothing most of you probably already don't know, but it might be helpful for others.

I bought a magnet for resetting my TPMS from McMaster-Carr (www.mcmastercarr.com). The part number that worked flawlessly was 5841K15, which sold for $28.46. The crappy little magnets I had lying around the house were worthless, and my local Radio Shack only had little cheesy ones. The procedure (outlined elsewhere on this forum) worked as long as I left the fob IN the car (I have a 2004 XLR). Please note: this may or may not work on newer XLR's.

And I love the look of the new (2008) remote, as well as the key-holding ability of it, but I haven't kept my key on my key ring- ever! Let's just say the lens for the Adaptive Cruise Control has some excellent hiding places behind it and is removed fairly easily without tools! A little surgery on a cheapo Key holder box, a couple of zip-ties, and voila, you have one less key to carry around!:thumbs But please don't steal my car when I go to BG with the rest of you or I'll be very, very sad!

and a quick PS: THANK YOU to those who organized and helped on the BG Rendesvous! I can't wait!

I have one question?????????? How do you get to the key behind the ACC in the lower part of the grill? I had an 04 and just don't remember that part very well.

The "lens" for the ACC comes off quite easily- you just kind of squeeze the left side towards the right side and it pops off. I take it off periodically to clean it. My first experience "cleaning" it was while I was on vacation: the DIC said the lens needed cleaning.... frequently. What was happening was the hoses for the headlamp washers were getting in the way. I haven't broken the lens..... yet! I also haven't needed the key..... yet! I'll probably need it tomorrow now that I've posted this! And I have the key zip-tied to a key box that is zip-tied to the top of the aluminum support that prevents us from ruining the underside on parking curbs. God Bless Zip Ties!!!!

PS The "lens", for those of you who haven't fiddled with it, is the far right-hand side of the lower grill. The left side also probably comes off as easily, but I haven't fiddled with it.
