When service for your K & N Filters is necessary, we sure that they are not
over-oiled.
When this happens, the MAF airflo sensor sends the wrong info to the computer and can cost you a transmission.
One report is that Cadillac resisted or refused warranty on a transmission when this happened. :flag

K&N warning

I have K&N air filters on all my toys, vette, jeeps, Harley, etc. as well as my EXT. Recently began having problem with low rpm idle (400-500) vs. normal 800-1000. I thought is was IAC solonoid, but dealer says it is oil from K&N fouling MAF. Changed back to stock filter until I can get a new AEM that does not require oil (supposed to be available at Summit). No change in idle so now back to dealer to fix most likely problem with IAC.

Just word to wise with your use of K&Ns.
