I don't know if a wheel should come apart like that from a peck on the cheek. I would have expected more damage to the car that what I see.

WOW. That is a wake up call. I live in NY, (Westchester), and there are construction barriers EVERYWHERE. I can see that happening easily enough (except for the 120mph part).

The one thing I did get out of that picture is that I will not be tinting the windows on my 2006 Infrared XLR. It looks horrible !!!

I guess stricdly1 is entitled to his opinion, as well as I am, and 1_XLR's car looks killer, even in the shade.
How did you ever get that deep look and could I ever get it on my platinum............I don't think so.

It may be hard for strictly1 to form an opinion on the wrecked car photos,
but the deep look on my car comes from the dark windows.

I really need to find the time to get the V done.

Now that's funny!
Mike, Is there an intake available similar to the Vette that we can buy? I was talking to a young man around the corner from me that has a C06 with that unit installed and says he gets about 30 more HP from it, especially if we remove the shroud. He also has a B&B exhaust setup and sounds really good. He thinks he probably would dyno out at 445.
Anything on this?

don't know of any, but of course would like to.

K&N made a nice duel aluminum one two years ago for the SEMA show, but I don't think it's in production. They asked to use my car for for a week to make the prototype, and offered me a FREE FILTER for any car of my choice in return...... I don't know who's car they ended up using!! The finished one-off went on a fully customized XLR at the show.

I would have no problem removing the shroud:puke

Dark windows are a great look on the XLR. I had it on my xenon blue.

Did you get new wheels on your ride, Mike? You avatar looks different than the pics.

Speaking of avatars....I guess I need to change mine....
