Have just noticed that several places on the drivers seat (both seat & back) that the dye has worn off.

These seats look like something 20 years old. Don't know if Cadillac will correct under the warranty.

Has anyone else had this problem?........:flag

Yep! both my 04, 19,000 miles, and my new V with 6,000 miles on it has a wear spot on the back rest downl low where I slide in. Saddles last longer than this and so do shoe's. Just cheap materials
That will be one of my first fixes at my new dealer. It seems Allen isn't ever going to get my supercharge valve, so I'll get that at my new dealer.

Realize that most of the people that use this site are here because they have problems and are looking for help or just an outlet to vent their frustrations. I am sure that their are many more happy XLR owners than upset ones (i hope).

Also most of us are car enthusists, meaning that we are more sensative than the normal consumer about leather wear, noises, and poor customer service. Kinda like the only people that return surveys in the mail are the people that are angry. You are definatly seeing a scewed representation of XLR owners.

It seems that Caillac keeps reminding us of how "cheap" they really are.

Does anyone have an XLR that hasn't had more problems than it should?:flag

The board has recently fallen into another negative slump...they come and go around here.
I also wanted to remind everybody of all the happy owners like five337 just did and try to put some positive energy back into this

.............and then today the DIC reads 'service fuel system', the fuel gauge flat lines, and the CEL lights up!!*&#@%$#!!:banghead

so I don't have much positive I want to add now...........
other than I still would not think of owning anything else:thumbs

Try cleaning the seats with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. You will be amazed at how much it grabs. Follow up with some good leather conditioner. If there is a dye problem it won't matter and may save you a confrontation with the dealer.

I agree those magic erasers work great for cleaning up leather. Just make sure you use a new one every time or you will end up spreading dirt around.

I didn’t have such problems because I constantly refreshed my skin with the universal protective cream of the Fortador Leather Vinyl Trim conditioner, I applied it in small layers and rubbed it with a microfiber towel as it is written in the instructions https://www.fortador-usa.com/blog /best-car-interior-dressing-interior-dressing-for-auto-detailing there are many more tips from the pros on car interior dressing. I recommend that you read this material.
