Anyone know why there is so much information lacking in the manual? Such as the information about putting the V into performance mode. Even though I know how to do it, you would think GM would cover their butts by letting you know what happens when you take the TC and stabilitrak off and especially when you put it in the performance mode.
When I had it in performance mode, I knew that I was on my own as far as the V driving different, but kicking it in a corner, left me fighting for my life, fishtailing from curb to curb, thank god no one was at that corner.
Another one would be to let us know that the limiter is around 155 just in case we are racing a freight train and want to get across the track at 165 to beat it............Where not going to make it. http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZS
I just think they should let the average driver know what to expect and devote a page or two to the subject. There are other things that are not addressed also, but this post is long enough already.:grouphug

Bob, I`ve had this info about TC/Stability and Performance Mode in all three C5 manuals I`ve owned. It works in the XLR or V`s the same way as in C5 or C6 Vettes.

Schultzs,
You missed the point, They never mentioned one word about how those modes work in the XLR-V manual
