Does anyone have production figures for '04 and '05? And has production stopped for the '06 models?
Here`s the info, just got the numbers from theautochannel.com

2004 - 3665 XLR`s 2005 - 3730 XLR`s

2006 - 1813 incl. june 2006

the plant in Bowling Green/Ky always closes in June for about two weeks and after this close, the production of the 07`s begin. (as far as I know)

hope I could help

Thanks for the info, Hans.
Wow. Anyone have any thought on the sharp '06 drop-off in production?
Doesn't seem like Caddy could sustain such a low sales rate and keep making them, let alone plan a new model for the future.
I hope we're not looking at another case of GM finally getting a car right, then dumping it.(ie-Allante, Fiero)

I wouldn`t say a sharp 06 drop off - it`s for the first half year and if you double it it`s a about the same as in 04 and 05.

But you are right, it looks right now the cannot raise selling numbers. We`ll see by the end of the year.

I share your concern

Sales for the entire auto industry in the US is off right now - probably around 20% over last year. With gasoline prices back up to $3/gal (I know europeans pay double that, Harry), interest rates are up, and the middle east in open war, I think people in the US are beginning to hunker down.
