Just started doing this when the drivers door is closed. Remember something in the owners manual about this, but can't find it. What's up?

the key

Are you leaving the "key" in the car--sounds like its the reminder beep, so anyone can't just get in and drive away!:D

The horn beep is a reminder that the fob is still in the car when you close the door.

I ALWAYS leave the key in the car when it's in the garage. Never did this before...

First JIM, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOO YOU :cheers :party :grouphug :thumbs

The three horn beep comes on after turning the car off, leaving the fob in the car and close drivers-door - it`s a reminder that the fob is in car.

It didn`t work on my XLR only one time when I`ve had it about one week (brand new).
I went to a gas station to fill it up and forgot the fob in the car - car locked me out with one beep. What to do now?- guess what - took my handy, what I had in my pocket and called home, my daughter took my fob#2 and opened my car through the phone. I just held the phone close to the door opener and she pressed the unlock button.

This happened one time, after that it allways worked correct.

You can program the DIC not to beep when you leave the fob in the car.
Carry the spare key in you wallet and then you are never locked out.:cheers

Bud,
where do you put the key, in that bumper box? I carry the key in my wallet but never thought about where I was going to put it to get into the car.
