I also find it interesting that GM would not go the extra mile to find out what the real problem was and solve it.................way to go GM

3 of the picture's show a document that states the XLR was a buy back and the reason for said buyback. Also the remaining warranty is intact . What I found interesting is the reason for the Buy Back Robin

Buy Back

Battery going dead for no reason. If I understand the Doc. The fix was replacing the Battery. In otherwords the problem was a BAD battery. That is what I found interesting. BUY A CAR BACK JUST BECAUSE THE BATTERY WAS BAD. That is a dealer I would stay away from.

Actually, it says the problem was an "intermittent dead battery" so I guess it is similar to my "intermittent top failure". They also say "customer concerns not duplicated - vehicle is operating to specs at this time". My top also functioned within specs; most of the time....................

You never know, the original buyer may be a fleet-level purchaser whose business both GM and the dealer valued over the small amount they will actually lose in such a deal.

Buybacks are not that uncommon, however the dealer plays a large role and if you piss them off or they feel you are being unreasonable you will have a tough time of it.

Didn't notice that they replaced the battery, but it could have been an electrical draw on the battery that they couldn't find, therego, By Back.
