Registered here yesterday. Have visited once and awhile over the past 8 or 9 months.
Why am I here? I unexpectedly bought an SSR last fall. I always plan an exit strategy for things I do. Anyway, my question was what might be a GM product that might be interesting to trade against.

XLR is the only consideration. However,I don't really have a time frame in mind presently.

I also bought an SSR in Jan of 2003, Had to have one, drove to florida from WV and decided that I could live without the SSR. traded it in on a XLR plus my 98 corvette pace car. wrong move, should have kept the vette. I'm now on my second XLR with over 45,000 miles and have never had one problem. my advice is "DO IT" :jester :jester :flag

Yea, you are right 13 months my XLR here in Germany under sometimes very hard driving - NO PROBLEMS!!!!!!!
Do you got your Z06 already? Ì`ve read the test of it in C&D great, great, great that`s all I can say. It outperforms allmost anything on the road - best fastest Vette ever.

Sorry to horn in on the sales post, but did you read Jamso's post about the ralley?
How does those dates work for you? I hope you could fly in to John Wayne or Lax and stay here and drive out to Albuquerque with me..............I mean we really need to see if Han's can get the V to 170+.
Let me know, so l can make arrangements to post money for stop overs in New Mexico.
Keep in mine that we need a day on each side of his dates for driving to and from Alb.

You know I`ve had my Vette up to 304, that`s 189 mph and I`ll see when my Corsa arrives here and it`s installed what the new top-end on my XLR will be.

Hans will not. As you know there`s a infra red V, a poker game, a 1/2 day racetrack, good steaks and more waiting. Who want miss this and most important "we are all XLR guys/gals.

Yes Hans-----------remember that when you are behind the wheel on I-40 eastbound and down. We must always remember to "keep the wheels between the ditches and the bears out of our britches" Also, "Keep the dirty side down and the shinny side up".

you don`t have to be scared Bob, Hans knows how to drive. I had two car wrecks, one with 18 and one with 19 but since this time and over 2 million km no one accident. My insurance premium is down to 25% that`s the lowest you can get and I got this for many years now.
I´ll keep your V on the road and I´m a fast driver but not a crazy one.

I hope you not right with the 155 top end but if it is we will get real soon there and I know from my visits in the US that I mostly drive on highways 75 - 100 mph.

We bring your V back to your home as we started with.
