Got a question, thought I'd run it by you guys to see if there's a problem with my heated seats.

With my Infiniti, the heat came from the seat bottom. With my XLR, it seems that all the heat comes from the seat back (not the seat bottom).

(Seriously, now!) Is the heat supposed to come from the back only, or should I expect a warm feeling from the seat bottom?

Htd/Cooled Seats

Allyn:
I have always said there was about 6 ways to spell my name, They all sound the same.

Regarding your question on the venting in the seats, Tim was correct, the venting is in the cushion as well as the seat back. It is not htd/cooled by any type of wired heating element like other vehicles. It uses a ceramic disc that is either positively or negitively charged. When this is done the disc either will heat up or get very cold, then air is blown over the disc and passed through the seats vents.

I have attached a photo of the seat in cutaway form.

Yes you should expect to feel warm/cool air coming through the perforations of the seat dedepending if you have it set to heat or cool.
