OK, guys, while smashing my car up on the 4th I did learn something other than to keep my eyes on the road.
The glue smell that a lot of you have experienced is not only from the floor boards but the inner fenders are glued to the outer fenders and I find that it is quite a procedure to do by my body man. He has a 10 page booklet on how to do it. Guess I'm going to smell glue all the way to NYC..........damn

looks to me like you'll be replacing not repairing both your fenders??

And aren't you going to NYC in August?
Sorry to say , but good luck having the XLR ready.

Unless you mean you just like to sniff glue while driving and don't plan to take your car.

Yes, both fenders, inner fenders, hood, grille, lights assembly's, bumper and lots of little parts behind the grille & bumper.. Don't worry I have the dealers promise it will be ready at least 4 days before I go, that's why i'm going to smelling glue on the trip. We had a long talk in his office about promises that were made and then stretched out after they got the car.
I'm hoping to meet Harry from Germany at BG , TN and get a special tour with his connection. He's hoping to drive a V.
What is it like to sniff glue my friend, will I like it?

These new space age adhesives are wonderful, but they don't really inspire confidence. High end cars of the past had the masculine smells of wood and leather.

Now its airplane glue. >>sigh!<<

Whoda thunkit?
