Here's a new thread to monitor Spring 2005 fuel prices by members on the forum-

Next time you buy fuel - post the grade, where you bought it, and how much you paid.

Harry - you guys driving your XLRs in Europe, we are especially interested in your fuel prices.

Unfortunately those of us blessed with CA sunshine are also cursed with the clean air statutes that regulate us to the point the best we can get is 91 octane. We have several places here in the valley where we can pump 100 octane racing fuel. IF, and that's a big IF you really need the benefits of higher octane you can get it here, you just need to blend it yourself.

76 supplies a blending chart on their website for those of us who need that much additional irritation in your life.......

93 Octane? I didn't know you could buy that anymore except at speciality stations, and those are very rare. What was the brand?
Actually Sunoco offers both 93 and 94 octane (their 94 octane is called ultra and is about $.10 per gallon higher than 93 octane). Mobil and Exxon (obviously the same company these days) only offer maximum 93. My dealer said that I do not need to put premium in the XLR so I have been experimenting with 91 octane. What's the real story -- what do I need to put in the car?

Harry -- have you thought of purchasing a bicycle? I lived in Copenhagen for four years and besides extremely high gas cost the tax that the Danes place on cars means that you have to be almost royalty in order to own a car.

Hi,
I´ll think about to buy a bicycle if this red/green leaderparty, what we got right now and for at least one more year will win the election again in 2006 :banghead

But still no bike than because I would move over to a better world called the US :)

Rainey,

I bet you miss the 600 when it comes to kicking a show offs ass (Burro)
I had one eat my lunch, tear my doors off, and smile as he went by as I was sliding down in the seat.
This is why I have sent letter after letter to GM to beg for this new V. I'm not saying it helped, but it had to give them food for thought.
The V still probably won't beat the 600 but I'll be able to see the taco stuck in his teeth as he smiles this time.
Guess you beat my price down here in OC. This is one time I don't mind being beat.

:lol Sir Harry..sounds good....and the only one where it can come from is BOB :yesnod
No, no blue blood but hard work can make me afford my cars. Now don`t laugh but a week got for me about 60 hours of working and that`s the average for me.

Bob, today I read at the Autoweek the pice of the XLR V est. $ 85.000 - sounds fair to me.

Happy easter to you all

$5,000 sounds good to me too, However, there are going to be a lot of dealers out there lookng $100,000. I made my deal with the owner for MSRP and damn glad I did.
Got you beat. Last week I worked 96 and being in the union, everything over 40 was double time. I spent most of the time watching TV or DVD's in my truck while I watched over men working near a 69KV transmission line. I'm called a standby lineman and go out with different crews to watch over them and keep them from getting hurt or killed.

You have a nice Easter too. Don't eat all the chocolate.:glol

94 in Northern VA

I sued to put 94 Sunoco in my Vette. In this area, even Sunoco does not seel the 94 much (only some of the stations). 93 seems to be at some, but 92 or 91 seems to be the high end for most stations, with 89 as Mid-level and 87 as Regular.
