Doris has made up with GM/Cadillac and is closing a deal today on a 2007 passion red XLR (I know, not everyone's favorite color). Not sure where it will end up as far as parking, we still have the Vette, her Hummer and my company car (2007 CTS) to deal with, plus the golf cart and all of the other can't-live-without junk in our garage! I just hope the 2007 turns out to be than our last one. :D

Pictures to follow, they are still prepping it for delivery later tonight.

Marc, congrats to your (or better your wifes) Passion red XLR:thumbs

How about a perfect brake in for the new XLR - come on join Rendezvous II. We have all XLR`s and V`s there I think beside a Neiman Marcus and a Passion Red one.

:party that`s what you miss if you don`t come:cheers

XLR Production History and Options

I think passion red is only available with black interior!

Hans
Per the XLR production history for 2007, I can't tell if "Victory" red or "Monterey" red is the "Passion" Red you reference. If the Passion Red is the "special edition" (XLR only), then it is the Victory Red you speak of. Then again, I may have it reversed.

Both "reds" came in Shale interior and only the "Monterey" in ebony (black) interior. Reference the BG website link below for the breakdown:

I just dropped by the dealership on my way home, it was not ready yet. The transport was delayed in traffic, and they want to get it all cleaned up and ready for us so we may have to wait until morning. The BG trip will have to wait, we are both busy with projects at work, I have a trip later this month to Chile and we have a cruise planned for October so we need to get our butts in gear!

Hopefully I will get a photo or two up sometime tomorrow.

Again, XLRs have been slighted..........we're getting Vette colors that are just renamed. Now I know how to translate the XLR colors; look them up on the Vette chart.

Mswaim, Congrads on the new purchase. Im a red guy so I love it !My 04 red is Crimson Pearl. It seems though the red always becomes 'Arrest me Red"!though!
Good luck with the car! and a mesh grill would look even hotter too! Missed you at BG! Jim

We owned a crimson pearl also, great color.

Here in California it's a well-known rumor that the best way to avoid problems with the CHP is to invest in the 11-99 Foundation. When you get a chance (Heck, I'll Google them up for you since we did get off on the wrong foot) read the attached links. As a retired LEO, I never really paid much attention to the Foundation until I started attending auto shows and the plates began popping up on almost every exotic car that was a daily/weekend driver. In fact, I lost count of the Ferraris driving around in Carmel this last weekend with Foundation plates. All you need is $1,800.00 and you too can play! I'd be willing to bet you have seen the plates since you spend time at auto shows around the country.

Yes, we both know another member here who most likely paid that much in attorney's fees to avoid the sting of a speeding ticket. We won't mention names but he had a co-pilot named Hans at the time.......He would be a prime candidate for the 11-99 Foundation.
