Hello All

Has anyone else notice a hesitation when pressing the gas from a stop? The car starts to move then jerks and takes off again. I also notice eratic shifting when putting the hammer down to pass at about 50-60 mph. Seems like it doesn't know which gear it wants to be in. Sometimes it revs up but doesn't really accelerate as hard and steady as would be expected.

Just wondering if I should get it into the shop.

Thanks
Jason

I had a hesitation when I first bought my 04 and they ran a diagnostic on it and set the software up again and it took care of it. I had a lag between 1st & 2nd which is a little different from your problem, but I think it's a software issue, but that's a guess.

Hi Rainey,
as far as I read this, it`s the traction control which jumps in. I´ve had it on my 98 C5 Coupe with automatic. That`s normal I would say, if you want to press the pedal full, turn off the TC by pushing the button or hold it for about 8 seconds than the TC and Stability Track is turned off.
You know it depends on road surface and a car what`s able to do 0-60 in less than 6 secondsgot sometimes intervention from the TC.

Bob, all the gears shift as they have to, never had a problem with the transmission. This 5 speed automatic is a excellent gear box. Did you know that GM sold this tranny since about 1998 for all their 5 and 7 series????

Have a nice weekend guys

Right ON

You are so right Hans,
The tranny has held up very well, especially with how much I down shift. That's the reason I still have a lot of pads left on my brakes.

Hi Bob,
I usually get about 30.000 km (18.000 miles) out the front brake pads but you know why. ;)

If you decide to drive your DM now longer, but you the Corsa on, it might sounds better than the V. Anybody here loves this kind of strong sound on my car now.

Have a nice week

top end

Hans.

I will let you know what my ententions are concerning the DM when I hear from the lawyer.

I hope you get on the autbahn soon and can get another 10 miles out of the top end. The exhaust might give you 10 or 15 horses but I don't think it will change the top end.

Hallo mein Freund,

I was yesterday evening at 8 pm on the autobahn but was very heavy traffic, only got it up to 260 kph (161 mph) but had to lift my gas-foot for traffic.
They told me at corsa there would be a increase of about 10% so, mine got right now 326 so it should be around 360 horses.
Hey Bob, it`s a wonderfull sound when you get all the gears(fist to fourth) up to 6500 rpm`s, the exhaust note is just great.
I´ll do another top-end check out on sunday morning at 10 am, I think it`s no heavy traffic than.
All in all the car feels a little faster but maybe it`s just the sound.

I´ll let you know my friend
