Hi hamptonbeach, I bought mine over www.usspeed.com and had it send to germany. No problems to install the new mesh grill - but big problems to remove the standard grille.

Jerry,
I hope my dealer will get his two ordered CTS V`s in soon. The cars was expected for December!!!!
They have ordered a White Diamont and a Thunder Gray and these are fully equipped export models.
This morning at 5 am I took my daughter and a friend to the Frankfurt-Airport for their flight to New York, allmost no traffic and my STS V made this 195 mile trip in 1 hour 47 minutes. I know you like this:lol:yesnod:cheers

You are right, the CTS V is a TUXEDO WITH A JETPACK:lol

Happy Holidays to you too

Hans

Does anyone else have a full lower grille on their base XLR? When I purchased my 06 last August it came with a full lower mesh grille installed by the previous owner. I had read on the forum prior to the purchase that the ACC may not work with the metal grille so I tested it with the dealer and it worked fine. It works flawlessly every time I use it. The sense indicator comes on well before the point deceleration begins and the gap adjustment works great. I have had no problems with cars in the lanes next to me. Any suggestions for further testing or anything I should be aware of?

It's just a trial and error thing. It all depends on what your lower grill is made of. Many were made of metal that interfered with the signal the unit used. That's why no "V"'s have ACC.....yet.

Just remember that if the ACC starts acting up removing the lower grill would be the first thing I would do.

I do not know who the manufacturer is for the grilles on my car. I don’t think they are E&G however because the upper grille has mesh behind the emblem unlike Dlanoz’s pictures. The upper grill also does not have a chrome trim across the top between the grille and hood. The mesh on the top and bottom match so I believe they are a set. They are definitely metallic but not magnetic.
