I have spoken to a number of folks coming to BG that have asked what the dress code is for 1) Dinner at Mariah's 2) Plant tour and Corvette Museum 3) Saturday with Cadillac.
The women would like to know"how dressy is Mariah's". I suppose the men could wear dress pants with golf shirt? Opinions please...? :cheers

Since this is a vacaction trip, and there is limited room for luggage, I am planning on wearing jeans and golf shirts for the trip. I did not set up anything that would require anyone to "dressed up" for this event.

As much as the dress code is an issue with us "owners", I'm sure the Exec's and Eng's would be pleased to be let off the hook too.

If Jim would discuss with the sponsors during the next teleconference the issue, I'm sure they too would appreciate the "business casual" dress code.

I've worked the automotive industry for the last decade and I can say that, for the most part, the days of coats and ties are gone........except when you're getting an award or something.

I agree:iagree, let it all hang out and relax. Not only that it will be hot crossing the desert for us west coasters so we are going to be comfy.Nothing that needs pressing and will not wrinkle.

Travel Tip for packing light

Having riden cross-country on Harleys for several years and not having a big trunk to put suitcases in, you have to get ingenius in packing in saddlebags, duffel bags, etc. To keep things from getting wrinkled when packing, take your pants and shirts and lay them flat on the floor or bed then fold them over and then roll them up like a sleeping bag. You will be amazed how much you can get into a duffel/sports bag. Hope this helps.

Now I know having clean pressed clothes is top priority when traveling on a Harley. NOT !!!!!

I can get at least 3-4 days out of the jeans and 2 days out of the underweat if you turn them inside out!!!
I have brought dockers and golf polo shirts on my trips and they are not wrinkled when I roll them as I stated. I will aslo be bring jeans and I can also get 3-4 days out of jeans. As far as the underwear goes I have no idea--don't wear it!:crazy
