You never mentioned the problems your having with the V.........We won't laugh
I was waiting until it was finished so I could do one write up, but it's in for the third time in as many weeks for the same problem. I'll start by saying the fine folks of Tustin Cadillac are regular readers here:seeya so I won't say anything I might regret later, but let's just say a small problem has turned in to quite the project:mad
I blew out the "manuel shift selector switch", I can't tell you how. Result is when I threw the shifter left into the manuel gate, shifted up or down, nothing would happen, it would stay in regular auto. Or the few times it did go into manuel shifting, it would stay in manuel even when the shifter was moved back to the right.
Not too big of deal. drop the exhaust and access the shifter box from below, trans and drive line stays put. Part was ordered and replaced in a few days but when I try to pick it up.....dead battery..... can't even open the door!
Replace the battery, check it all out, no explination, I pick it up the next day.
The car is shaking so bad that if I tried to get all the way home, my teeth would have all fallen out! (the feeling of really bad U-joints....through the steering wheel, floorboard, seats) I turned around and took it back, this was on a Saturday.
They called me Monday AM.....to tell me the new battery was DEAD!:glol
Keep in mind, I NEVER had any battery or vibration problems before it went in.
After various "executive consultations" it seems the new shift selector switch is faulty and is staying on, keeping the computers on, and draining the battery.
The replacement switch comes in a few days later......and what are the odds of me getting a THIRD faulty shift selector switch??:skep
Another few days and another selector switch and the problem is solved.....:nodno
Oh what about the shaking? well it's down to a nausiating vibration...Back it goes again. They tell me it's the exhaust grounding out somewhere and they just can't seem to get it right in such a tight space. (when all else fails...blame the after-market) This is the same exhaust that I put on myself under a single floor jack and had no problem.... it mounts identical to stock. They have been 'working' with that since Tuesday!
Well, they called as I was writing this, it's ready again.... wish me luck....and feel free to laugh!
