My dealer honored my GMID certificate so the price was $89,000. Then I had $2000 GM Card dollars so the NET price was $87,000! which is exactly what this car should cost. Because of the horrible depreciation I experienced on my 2006 XLR, I leased the 2007 V for 2 years (10,000 miles) at $940 per month with nothing down. GREAT DEAL

The V Compared to the base XLR - The V drives better, smoother, handles better - I really love it - ITS THE BOMB!

Its "GM In the Driveway program" A GM employee can give you this and they get something like $100 if you buy a car with it. - like a referral program. you can see the GMID prices by going to

https://www.gmfamilyfirst.com/ip-gmemployee

and clicking at the top drop down menu and select Vehicle shopping then Supplier pricing and select your car and tehn on the right your supplier price will be the price you pay. For hot models a lot of dealers wont accept but for most models they will. Its a great deal if you know someone at GM.

Glad to hear it was the camera........As one of the first V's in California, I welcome you to the "Gorilla in a Tuxedo Club..........well it's not really a club, but it certainly describes the XLR-V.
I get mine back from the body shop tomorrow after my traction control/stabilitrac went out on me and I was still driving like it was on. wiped out two rims, tires, and some extra stuff underneath, so I went to all new 20" Pirelli's and new Dub Chrome rims (Dirty Dogs)
I see you have found the secret to putting up nice big pics. I shall post some this weekend when after I pet my V for half a day.:party Party Time

I think leasing is THE WAY to go going forward!!! The prices of these cars seem to capitate a great deal. This way you agree to drive the car for a specified time at an agreed upon price. At the end you get to buy it or give it back. AND NOW if you "Smart Lease" it you can buy a ding dent and tire warranty for $500 over 3 years that allows you to REALLY walk away for the small scratches, paint chips, and dings that you had to pay for previously.

NEAT DEAL!!!

With all of these new "Bennies" I'm thinking about a 07 "V" so Bob (aka standby) and Hans will continue to talk to me.

If you are not trading a car in - you save BIG on taxes 8.25% in CA is $8200 on the MSRP alone in taxes. You save $6400 in taxes by leasing! which is 6 months payments for free compared to buying.

taxes

New York is outrageous--they make you pay the entire tax based on the purchase price on your lease, regardless of the end value--a few years ago you just paid the tax on each payment (sounds fairer to me, you used to pay tax on what you rented).:cuss :mad

Now Leasing on cars and trucks (get this) is illegal in the Great State of New York, because you wouldn't have to pay the full tax!:rant
