As we've been discussing on this site I went to new era performance where they do all sorts of neat performance stuff to cars. Met the guy last year as he just bought a GTO to design an intake for that car. Showed him my car did some measuring and I'm going to be dropping off the car on June 2 and the following week he is going to be working on my car. Our cars have 3.5 inch intakes which make it not so common. He said he will most likely y it left and right. Has his own DYNO machine so he can test the car first then once his unit is on the car will test it and several filters to see which pulls the most HP. I told him there might be some on this site interested in buying these units if it works out. He currently sells a number of products locally as well as on eBay. So we will see with my car being the guinea pig I will keep everyone posted.

Lucky Bill

Good work lucky Bill,
There is only one thing wrong with this whole scenario, The V is different from the standard XLR. Mine comes in on an angle, not straight in like the XLR's. Can he get a hold of a V and do that one too? PLEASE!

I don't think he can get one but with photos and measurements once mine is done he might be able to pull it together. If not I will work on finding an Upstate New Yorker with a V to use as a mule.

K&n

Bill,
I forwared my last K&N letter to them again and told them very nicely how displeased I was that they didn't at least answer my letter. After all, I'm offering my $100,00 dollar car as a mule. I'd even pay cost for the intake. I'll take a picture tomorrow and post it so you can see how different it is. strangly enough, it takes the same K&N filters that all the XLR's use.
